Event Description Dr. Kirstie Blair will visit TCU on October 17th to deliver her lecture
entitled Transatlantic Tractarians: Victorian Poetry and the Church in
America.
Dr. Kirstie Blair is Senior Lecturer at Glasgow
University. For the fall of 2012, she is the Margaret Root Brown Chair
in Robert Browning and Victorian Studies at the Armstrong Browning
Library at Baylor. She is author of Victorian Poetry and the Culture of
the Heart (2006), among many other publications on poetry from both
sides of the Atlantic. Her second monograph, Form and Faith in Victorian
Poetry and Religion (2012), has just been published by Oxford
University Press.
